1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (Terms) govern your access to and use of our website and any quotations, bookings and services provided by EJ Carpentry & Maintenance (we, us, our). By using our website, requesting a quotation or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Quotes, Estimates & Scope
- Quotes and estimates are based on information available at the time and are valid for a limited period stated on the quote (or 14 days if not stated).
- Pricing may change where site conditions differ from those disclosed, access is restricted, or additional works are requested.
- The final scope is the written scope in our quote/acceptance; any other description is indicative only.
3. Bookings, Deposits & Variations
- We may require a deposit or prepayment before scheduling works. Booking dates are indicative and may change due to weather, supplier delays or safety considerations.
- Client-requested changes are treated as Variations and may affect price and timeframe. Variations must be agreed in writing (email is sufficient).
4. Access, Safety & Site Conditions
- You must provide safe, reasonable access to the site (including power, lighting and clear work areas) and ensure the site complies with WHS obligations.
- We may postpone or suspend works where conditions are unsafe or non-compliant.
5. Materials, Standards & Warranties
- We will perform services with due care and skill and in accordance with applicable standards.
- Manufacturer warranties for materials/products pass through to you. Natural variations in timber/finishes are not defects.
6. Payment & Title
- Invoices are payable by the due date stated. We may charge reasonable late fees, administrative costs and interest where permitted by law for overdue amounts.
- Title in materials passes to you only upon full payment. We may suspend further works for non-payment.
7. Cancellations & Postponements
- If you cancel or postpone after acceptance, you agree to pay for work performed to date, materials ordered (including restocking fees) and reasonable costs incurred.
8. Photos, Testimonials & Marketing
- We may request permission to photograph completed works or publish testimonials. We will not publish your personal information without your consent. We may use de-identified images/descriptions.
9. Website Use & Content
- Website content is for general information only and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that the site is error-free or uninterrupted.
- All intellectual property on the site remains ours or our licensors’. You must not copy, reproduce or exploit any content without permission.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our liability for any breach of statutory guarantee or these Terms is limited, at our option, to re-supply of the services or payment of the cost of having the services re-supplied. We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including extreme weather, supplier failures, transport issues, acts of government, pandemics).
12. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By submitting an inquiry or engaging our services, you consent to that handling.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia and courts competent to hear appeals from them.

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page. The updated Terms apply from the “Last updated” date above.
